Time is flying and we are already at the beginning of March. The racing calendar is very busy and there’s excitement heading into March especially with Cheltenham this week!

February has been a busy month with lots of race meetings, riding out at different yards and plenty of miles and hours in the car.

This month I’ve had two winners Myburg at Catterick and Silva Eclipse at Doncaster. Both horses trained by my boss Sue Smith. Both horses are progressing nicely throughout this season and I’m sure this won’t be the last time they are winning.

The start of the last week in February and I head into the week with three rides at Carlisle. Both Romeo Brown in the opening 1pm and Kaphumor in the 3 mile 2 furlong handicap chase for Sue Smith and Geyser in the 4pm Handicap Hurdle for Barry Murtagh. All horses have good enough form at their level to warrant being competitive and I’m hoping for a good start to the week.

Tuesday finds me at Catterick for two rides. Da Vinci Hand for Jo Foster and Ribeye for Peter Atkinson.

I’m looking forward to the rest of the week with race meetings most days and a few nice horses to look forward to across the weekend.

It’s great to see the Stablemate Biodegradable Wipes have been launched and doing well. This is a product I’ve used for some time and find them very effective throughout my daily work.

Look forward to writing again at the end of March. Here’s to a safe and successful March and a few winners.
