Sara Malpass Dressage – Sponsored Rider

Hi, team Stablemate! I’m Sara, a 28yr old dressage rider from Hampshire.

When I was younger, I begged my parents for riding lessons–little did they know this is how it all began. Up until I was 18, I rode in riding schools or shared some highland ponies. When I turned 18, I managed to convince my parents to buy my first pony, which I was meant to produce for a pony club home and sell. It’s safe to say Basil is still with me and isn’t going anywhere!

When I decided university wasn’t for me, I jumped straight into working on dressage yards. This then progressed into freelance grooming, riding, and teaching. Over the last 11 years since getting my first pony I have progressed (and increased my horsepower) to training and competing up to Inter 1, with the hope of doing my first inter 11 this year.

I am now lucky enough to have my own yard where I can base myself and take horses (and owners) in for training.
