It’s come to the end of what has been a very busy month.

I’ve been racing lots this month, and managed to grab a winner at Kelso. Kelso is my home track and there was a super atmosphere walking back into the winners’ enclosure aboard Sue Smith-trained Romeo Brown.

It’s been great to be getting busier with racing this month, this week I’ve been from Ayr to Market Rasen and everywhere in between. It’s really important to keep momentum and consistency to continue moving forward.

I was in up Ayr earlier this month on day two of their Scottish Grand National meeting. I rode JessieMac for Ian Duncan, she ran a career best to finish a not-far-beaten fifth in the Three Mile Mares’ Hurdle Race. Today I rode for Ian again, this time riding Celestial Fashion. She is a young mare who we think has plenty of potential, but she isn’t the easiest and takes a bit of knowing. I’m hoping for an improvement of her first run at Ayr and a good education for her.

Racing quietens down a bit as we head into April, and racecourses and trainers start to prepare for the summer. It won’t be long until stables are being disinfected and painted ready for next winter.

Luckily, this is easy with Stablemate. Their products play a huge part in keeping yards, stables and horse boxes cleaned to the ultimate standard.
